Dr. Nurul Islam is a highly accomplished Interventional Pediatric Cardiologist with extensive expertise in diagnosing and treating congenital and acquired heart conditions in patients ranging from newborns to adults. A graduate of Calcutta National Medical College (2004), he earned his MD in Pediatrics from the prestigious Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratisthan (2010). He went on to complete his FNB in Pediatric Cardiology at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi (2013) and received advanced training at Evelina Children’s Hospital, London, UK, under renowned pediatric cardiologist Dr. Shakeel Qureshi (2016).

For the past 8 years, Dr. Islam has been delivering specialized heart care with proficiency in advanced diagnostic techniques such as Transthoracic Echocardiography (TTE), Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE), Pediatric ECG, CT Angiography, and Cardiac Catheterization. As a dedicated interventional cardiologist, he performs device closures for PDA, ASD, VSD, and fistulas, as well as balloon angioplasty for various cardiac blockages.

His surgical expertise includes over 2,500 pediatric angiographies, 1,000 device closures, and nearly 500 angioplasties for patients from India and neighboring countries like Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Pakistan. Remarkably, he has performed angioplasty on a 1.2 kg premature baby and treated a 6-hour-old newborn. Dr. Islam is also recognized for using minimal radiation techniques to ensure patient safety.
